I HAVE GOTTON MYSELF INTO A VERY DIFFICULT SPOT. I WAS SCAMED BY A LANDLORD INTO MOVING INTO AN APARTMENT BUILDING THAT WAS AND IS STILL NOT UP TO CODE. IT IS LOCATED IN WINDSOR NEW YORK. I HAVE SEVERAL LETTERS FROM DIFFERENT LOCAL COMPANIES THAT SUPPLY AND DELIVER BOTTLED GAS; STATING THAT THEY CAN NOT DELIVER DUE TO THE HOUSE NOT BEING UP TO CODE. I HAVE NO HEAT HOTWATER AND NO COOKING GAS, I AN IM DIRE NEED OF ASSISTANCE IN PAYING TO MOVE INTO ANOTHER MORE SUITABLE HOME THAT I LOCATED CLOSE TO WHERE WE LIVE NOW.I HAVE PUT A SMALL DOWN PAYMENT TO HOLD THE APARTMENT. I AM ON UNEMPLOYMENT.SOCIAL SERVICES HAS STATED THAT I CAN STAY AT THE YWCA. IM VERY SHORT ON MONEY DUE TO SEVERAL EXPECTED DRAWBACKS AND THIS VERY UNECESSARY ONE. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF A 411$ CAR REPAIR FROM A FEW WEEKS AGO. LETTERS FROM THE FUEL COMPANIES REFUSING TO ACCOMIDATE DELIVERY AND WHY. AND ALSO PROOF OF MY UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT THAT IS UNDER THE 150$ AMOUNT. I PLAN TO TAKE THIS LANDLORD TO COURT TO TRY AND GET MY MONEY BACK FOR THE RENT I PAID, BUT IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME. I HAVE A SMALL FAMILY THAT IM THE HEAD OF AND IM IN A COMPLETE PANIC, ABOUT MOVING AND A FEW MORE REPAIRS THAT THE CAR NEEDS. AND I ASSURE YOU THE BABY ALLWAYS NEEDS DIAPERS, TEETHING MEDS ECT. I AM A 1995 COLLEGE GRAD AND TRY VERY HARD TO GET A JOB. IM TERRIBBLY WORRIED ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS

My car is in desperate need of repair. It needs a new motor! the mechanic said it's the worst thing that can happen to it and it's going to cost $2,600! I am unable to find a job because of cyclical unemployment. I am 17 years old and my parents (divorsed) can't afford to pay for it. My car is used to go to my job (when I get re-hired soon, hopefully) and to get to and from school. I love my car and I dont want to see it thrown out and leave me car-less.

I have trusted my mechanics, that have their family owned business in Queens, NY. Paying elsewhere like "Pep Boys, Strauss, AutoZone, and even Sears had always been a proven money pit for my family. I just use them now for basic wiper blades and fluids. "They" don't seem to understand struggle and surviving from check to check and limited budgets. Finding caring and honest people to take care of your car has proven to be an invaluable asset as well as resourse. To have peace of mind is how the American Express commercials put it: "PRICELESS".

When you know your car inside out it helps to know that you are somewhat knowledgeable about maintenance. I learned the hard way so many times, pushing my cars until the can't go anymore... Been raped by companies like mentioned above because they were the only one's open on sunday's. Don't know why my cars died when they did, but at almost a 200% mark up on labor, diagnostics, and other HuHa...(just things they list on the bill when you get it), You need a stiff drink after the ordeal.

 Wow, thank you for this group page, I can go on and on... You build such an attatchment with your vehicle, they do become part of your family. I named all of my cars. Wish I had the money to find them, and bring them back to life, just to squander thousands of bucks on paint and add-ons like on "Pimp My Ride", or "Foose"... Thanks ttyl.

Any suggestions?

A friend of mine guided me here.I'm 42 yrs old on total dissabilty I pay all my bills and have very little money left over. The problem I have is my 1994 Chevy Blazer (full size) I take very good care and maintaince on my truck for this is the only transpetation I have, it has 230,000 miles on it I always take care of small repairs myself starter , fuelpumps water pumps etc, The transimissiom has gone out on the truck. Does anyone know were I might be able to find help with this repair I have about 600.$ saved up I could payout the rest of the rebuild or any Info or help would be greatley appreciated Thanks Dwaine..

I know its hard out there and we need to pool in together so I am offering help with car repair within the Chicago land area the cost is affordable you pay for the parts and then we fix it and come to you! I am a single mom and I became disabled on January 6, 2006 so I have a very limited income.  I have one child at home, age 13 going on 30!  I have a 1996 Ford Escort LX wagon that broke down on us going to church in October of last year and to date have not been able to buy the parts to repair it. 

I live in a mobile home community that requires our vehicles to be tagged, in Florida this means they also have to be insured!  My little car is paid for so I have tried to hold onto it hoping that sonehow I will be able to get it repaired.

I have to beg for rides from neighbors mostly and friends when they can come to take us to pay our bills or buy food.  I feel like such a burden to them, but love each of them for their kindness to us.

I have been hoping that I could find an organization in the Orlando area that would help us so that we can once again attend church and make trips to the store and doctor appointments.

If anyone knows of such an organization please let me know.  It would be much appreciated.

My name is Lizzy. I am 23 years old. I am currently engaged and have 3 kids under the age of 5. I am in college and my fiance works full time.

Three weeks ago, I was at my kids daycare picking them up when I accidentally hit a teacher's car. The car door does not open now. When the accident happened the other driver and I exchanged names, phone numbers, insurance information.

Last week I found out that I did not have insurance at the time of the accident. I am freaking out because I have no money. I have to pay the damages to her car, I owe a relative $1500 for borrowing money for school and I owe $2000 to my mechanic for fixing my vehicle for repairs 2 months ago.

I have no idea what to do about the financial situation. Does anyone know where I can get this money to pay off these bills? I have no problem paying the lender back. I have bad credit so I cannot get a loan and I cannot borrow from anyone.

Hello, my husband and I are very hard working people. Most of the time we find it hard to make ends meet. Our cars are on their last leg. Both are in need of repairs, in which we can't afford.We barely make enough to put food on the table.We both work 30 minutes away from home. I don't know how much longer before they completely break down. If anyone knows of a place that is very resonable in their prices or anyone that would find it in their heart to help us, we would be so appreciative.We live in Terrell, Texas. We can pay back in small monthly payments. We are not asking for money, just a little help. Thank You

ME AND MY BOYFRIEND ARE STRUGGLING WITH OUR 2 YEAR OLD SON.
I AM WORKING EVERYNIGHT, AND CANT AFFORD TO GET MY CAR FIXED.

I own a small business , it is an auto repairshop, and I'm looking for a grant or aid to expand my business where I can afford to train few students in the field of auto repair free and without any charge at all.

I have the knowledge and experience, but I don't have the funds to do the necessary remodeling and expansion of the building so it can accomodate few students in an academic and practical education, this can help youngsters learn a useful trade and also keep them away from joining violent and bad groups of youngsters.
